[ad_1]

Israel on Sunday announced a tender for about 1,300 new settlement houses in the occupied West Bank.

The authorities are also expected to discuss proposals for another 3,000 homes that have already attracted the attention of the United States.

The Israeli Bureau of Land Management has issued tenders for the construction of new houses in settlements in the West Bank on land that the Palestinians hope to become a future nation.

It is expected that a government planning committee will discuss proposals for approximately 3,000 new settlement units in the coming week.

A State Department spokesperson said on Friday that such measures could increase tensions and undermine efforts to reach a peace agreement.
