Emirates will recruit 6,000 operations staff in the next six months to support accelerated recovery – Dubai Blog

[ad_1]

Emirates plans to hire more than 6,000 employees in the next six months to increase its operational workforce. As the scope of vaccine management expands and global restrictions are relaxed, more pilots, crews, engineering experts and ground crews will be needed to support the airline’s expansion of operations in its global network to cope with an earlier-than-expected surge in customer requirements.

Emirates has restored 90% of its network and is expected to reach 70% of its pre-pandemic capacity by the end of 2021. The world’s largest international airline is increasing flights to supplement its flight schedule to meet pent-up demand. It also deploys its high-capacity double-decker A380 aircraft on popular routes around its network. By November, Emirates will provide more than 165,000 additional seats for its flagship A380 aircraft.

His Royal Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Said Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Emirates and Group, Said: “The Emirate has always been the core of Dubai’s development. We need to add 6,000 operations staff, which means that Dubai’s economy is witnessing a rapid recovery, and it will bring opportunities and other positive developments for various other businesses, including consumption, travel and Tourism.

“With the reopening of borders and the simplification of travel agreements, we have been cautiously restoring our operations, and with positive signs of economic recovery and continued growth in demand, we hope to return to the pre-pandemic state, starting from mid-2022 Start.”

In September, Emirates began recruiting 3,000 crew members and 500 airport service employees worldwide to join its Dubai hub to support its operational needs due to the recovery of the tourism industry. With travel demand growing more than previously anticipated, Emirates will now need to add 700 ground crews in Dubai and across the network.

In addition, the airline is providing exciting career opportunities for 600 qualified pilots interested in joining the global airline’s flight operations team in Dubai.Candidates can find more information about roles and requirements https://www.emiratesgroupcareers.com.

As part of the recruitment campaign, Emirates also aims to strengthen its engineering team by recruiting 1,200 skilled technicians (including aircraft engineers and engineering support staff) to station in Dubai and other sites. Emirates is the world’s largest operator of Boeing 777 and A380 aircraft. Its fleet currently consists of 263 wide-body aircraft, and the airline has several new aircraft to meet future demand, including Airbus A350, Boeing 787-9 and Boeing 777-X models.

All Emirates Boeing 777 aircraft are in service, performing passenger and cargo missions, flying to more than 120 destinations. The airline is currently flying its flagship A380 aircraft to 18 cities and will soon expand by more than 65%, reaching 27 destinations by the end of November. By December, the last two A380s will be delivered to Emirates’ fleet, of which about 50 A380s will be put back into service.

Dubai’s diverse culture, tax-free environment, and leading living, working and entertainment infrastructure continue to attract people from all over the world, with more than 200 ethnic groups calling the city their home.

Dubai’s powerful response to the pandemic has been consistently rated as one of the most effective in the world, succeeding in achieving its goals through the country’s strong leadership and efficient public and private partnerships. Since July 2020, the rapid vaccination and clear pandemic agreement in the United Arab Emirates have allowed Dubai to quickly and safely reopen international tourism and business activities. Currently, more than 86% of the UAE’s population has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and more than 96% have received at least one dose, which is the highest in the world based on the number of vaccines vaccinated per 100 people.
