Columbia Pavilion will discuss sustainability and innovation in the mining industry at Expo 2020 Dubai – Dubai Blog

Representatives of mining departments, companies, and key Colombian officials will discuss the potential and opportunities for investment in the country’s mineral resources in a series of meetings under the theme “Colombia beyond Eldorado Mining Lane”. These events will be held at the Columbia Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, aiming to explore the progress made in the mining industry and how new sustainability and innovation trends can promote the use of natural resources such as metals and other minerals.

Colombian Finance Minister José Manuel Restrepo and National Mining Agency Director Juan Miguel Duran will be the main speakers during the meeting. They will discuss the current investment environment in Colombia and favorable market conditions for foreign direct investment.

President Duran’s meeting will clarify the country’s ideal geographic location as a rich source of minerals, as well as current regulations in the mining sector that help ensure the sustainable management of natural resources to reduce environmental impact.
