The UAE and the wider region’s leading cultural, shopping, attractions and entertainment multicultural family destination Global Village will begin a month-long UAE National Day celebration on 50thday Our country’s national flag day.
In collaboration with Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Awards (HIPA), Global Village launched 50 years of solidarityPhotography Competition. This prestigious competition aims to create a series of photos from the perspective of individuals with unique cultural diversity and explore common identities and values. From National Flag Day on November 3 to UAE National Day on December 2, amateur and professional photographers are welcome to submit works celebrating multiculturalism, diversity and tolerance. Participants must be at least 18 years old, and those using professional cameras must apply for a permit on the Global Village website. All entries must be uploaded to the HIPA website.

In addition to winning the prestige of the HIPA photography competition, the first prize winner will receive 50,000 dirhams in cash and a gold trophy, the second prize winner will receive 26,000 dirhams, a silver trophy and a global village gift bag, and the third prize The prize winner will receive AED26,000 and a glass trophy. The top 10 runners-up will receive a global village experience package, including admission tickets and a Wonder Pass card. The competition will end on National Day, 2nd December. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on the main stage of the Global Village on January 4.

The global village has not forgotten the young blindworm. Photographers under the age of 18 will have their own social media competitions on the same theme. To participate as a young photographer, you only need to use the hashtags #GVWOW and #Together to upload pictures describing “50 Years of Unity” on Instagram between November 3 and November 30. The winners of the children’s competition will be announced on December 2nd on UAE National Day. The jury is looking for participants who can break the boundaries of creativity by capturing spectacular moments and introducing the fascinating people and unique cultural perspectives of the global village to the audience.
