TSR Exclusive: The trial date for YFN Lucci’s murder and extortion case has been set for May 2022.
Luchi is still detained in Fulton County and was arrested in December 2020 on multiple charges, including a gang shooting suspected of murdering 28-year-old James Adams.
According to online Fulton County records, Lu Qi held a bail hearing today, and the judge set the trial date for the case as May 12, 2022. He insisted on his innocence.
YFN Lucci has been in custody since December 10, 2020, when he threw himself in Fulton County Jail after issuing an arrest warrant.
He was released on bail in February 2021, but returned to prison in May after being charged. Extortion case Related to murder and so-called gang activity.
He was nominated as one of ten others in the case, which listed the various crimes allegedly committed by the bloody street gang for which Lu Qi was accused of being a member.

At the time, Lucci’s lawyer Drew Findling stated that his client had pleaded not guilty to the charges he was accused of and had nothing to do with any street gang.
“He is not a gang member,” Findlin said. “He is an internationally recognized music artist who has won a triple platinum award and has performed in the United States and around the world.”
Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labott talked with WSBTV about Lu Qi. Sharif Labote said: “Our attitude towards allegations is more important than our attitude towards celebrity status, and he must be within our highest security limits.”
