UAE Stock Markets End Week Higher as Strong Earnings Lift Investor Confidence

The UAE stock markets finished the week on a positive note as strong earnings from major listed companies helped lift investor sentiment despite ongoing regional uncertainty.

Abu Dhabi’s benchmark index rose 0.4 per cent, marking its second consecutive day of gains. Alpha Dhabi Holding gained 1.5 per cent ahead of its earnings announcement, while ADNOC Drilling climbed 1.2 per cent after reporting a better-than-expected second-quarter net profit of $359 million.

Dubai‘s main index also edged higher, rising 0.1 per cent. The gains were supported by Commercial Bank of Dubai, which jumped 5.9 per cent, and toll operator Salik, which added 1 per cent. However, declines in Emirates NBD and Emaar Properties limited the market’s overall advance.

For the week, Abu Dhabi‘s market gained 0.9 per cent, while Dubai snapped a three-week losing streak with a modest 0.2 per cent rise. Investors continued to focus on company earnings rather than geopolitical developments, with analysts saying strong corporate fundamentals are helping support market confidence.

Oil prices also moved higher, with Brent crude rising around 1.4 per cent amid concerns over regional tensions and shipping disruptions.

While higher oil prices can increase market volatility, investors remain optimistic that the UAE’s resilient economy and healthy corporate results will continue to support the UAE stock markets in the months ahead.
