From promoting the decarbonization of the energy sector to Using disruptive technologies in the aviation field to the development of precision medicine, we at GE are committed to solving the world’s biggest challenges. Without the cooperation of customers and the government, this would not be possible.”

Roger Martella, GE Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer Delivered keynote speeches on key milestones the world will see in energy, aviation and healthcare, especially in the decade before 2030. He said: “Now is the time to take action. The current ten years will set the trajectory for the future, and 2030 is an important milestone in our sustainable development journey. The world will be very different from now to the next ten years. Today, we have the opportunity to improve the sustainability of the system in the departments we operate to support the global community in achieving its goals.”

In the first meeting to discuss the specific practical actions that the energy industry needs to take to decarbonize the industry, the panel members called for cooperation to achieve the energy transition. Emphasizing the need to achieve actual emissions reductions, rather than transferring carbon dioxide from one balance sheet to another, obviously requires careful consideration of the integration of governments and policy makers, as well as the entire energy value chain, and a sector-wide approach to achieve global emissions reductions Target.

The second panel discussion focused on how the aviation industry can achieve its CO2 reduction targets. Panelists discussed the development of new disruptive technologies and emphasized the need to further advance these technologies to achieve emission targets. In addition to reviewing where we are today, the panel members also discussed the road map for economic viability, as well as the challenges and opportunities along the way.

The focus of the third discussion is to make the healthcare system more sustainable in the future, promote wider access, and provide better results for more people. Discussing how companies can achieve the ultimate goal of precision medicine, participants discussed some of the challenges that need to be solved, as well as the solutions currently being studied in the healthcare industry.

Last year, General Electric announced a plan to achieve carbon neutrality in its own business by 2030, which is consistent with the sustainability and decarbonization goals set by the regional government. Its commitment to sustainable development of energy, aviation and healthcare will complement the region’s focus on the next generation of resilient futures.
