According to all sources, when mercury starts to itch on the tip of the thermometer, the swimming pool is the place to go. If you want to hang out and get yourself soaked, this is the best pool day in the city, starting from Dh50.
Almaya Island Resort
What price of heaven? This fantastic island resort is only a 10-minute boat ride southwest of mainland Abu Dhabi. They provide Horizon swimming pool and beach passes for AED 105 (weekdays), and AED 50 can be used to buy food and beverages at the hotel. The price of AED 199 on weekends is slightly higher, but you can get a cool consumption of AED 150 for dining and drinking at the resort (or unlimited jumps between noon and 3 pm). The round-trip boat transfer is included in the cost of your pass.

Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi
The Rayana Latin Tapas Bar daily pool pass gives you access to the hotel’s beautiful elevated pool deck between 9 am and 7 pm. Just 150 dirhams, you can return 100 dirhams as points for food and beverage consumption in Rayana. But for a proper Saturday meeting, guests can enjoy unlimited cocktails between noon and 4 pm (afterwards they can continue to use the swimming pool) for only Dh200.

The Courtyard by Marriott World Trade Center offers probably one of the best value pool passes we have ever seen. A full day (from 7 am to 8 pm) is only 50 dirhams, which is only a few steps away from the recently reopened Up & Beyond.

Emirates Palace
Use the weekday pool pass of the UAE Royal Palace to enjoy royal treatment. Adults only need 320 dirhams to use the swimming pool and beach facilities (Cascades restaurant has a credit limit of 100 dirhams). Children between the ages of 4 and 20 can earn AED 50 for the price of AED 160. On weekends, the fare for adults is 425 dirhams and for children without meal coupons is 210 dirhams.

InterContinental Abu Dhabi’s Bayshore Beach Club provides a day pass to the hotel’s spacious outdoor recreational space. You can enter this recreational lagoon for AED 80 for adults (Dhs 40 for children or nanny) or AED 100 (Dhs 50 for children) on weekends. Couples can enter the venue for AED 140 on weekdays and AED 180 on weekends. Facilities include a private beach, infinity pool, children’s pool (although the slide is currently closed), gym and Bayshore restaurant. Changing rooms and outdoor showers are now open, but due to current government health precautions, you must bring your own towels and masks. For March, there is a special “brunch” package every day for AED 275, which includes entrance fees, three-course meals and four hours of free flow soft drinks or adults from noon to 6 pm Drink.
