Dubai Industrial and Export Corporation and Unilever celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the UAE with a “50×50” event – ​​Dubai Blog

Dubai Industrial and Export Corporation has partnered with Unilever Gulf, a manufacturer and supplier of iconic beauty and personal care, home care, and food and refreshment products, to celebrate the UAE’s 50th anniversary through a series of promotional programs and initiatives to nurture the local Female talents. The partnership will also promote local manufacturing through “50×50”, an initiative in line with Dubai’s industrial and export strategic mission to help companies in the emirate enter and succeed in overseas markets, while promoting industrial Manufacturing value-added products in line with Dubai’s industrial strategy 2030.

The “50×50” plan aims to use the scale and power of Unilever’s selected brands to increase the visibility of the fiftieth anniversary. This will be achieved by adding the “Fiftieth Anniversary” logo to Unilever’s exclusive product packages such as Comfort, Lifebuoy and Lipton Tea. Starting in November 2021, Unilever will also attract consumers in the UAE through in-store and other activities.

The factory was established in 2016 and produces Lifebuoy, Dove, Tresseme, Vaseline and other brands, all of which are proudly advertised as “Made in the UAE.” “The DPC factory is one of MENA’s largest personal care liquid manufacturing units. It is a leader in sustainable development and one of the first factories in the region to have solar photovoltaic and solar thermal systems. 100% of the electricity comes from green energy and zero Carbon Emissions. With an export network in 31 countries in the Middle East and North Africa, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Latin America and Southeast Asia, we are proud that our quality products bear the “Made in UAE” label.”

DPC was declared by the World Economic Forum as a “Advanced 4day “Beacon of Industrial Revolution” in recognition of its significant progress in the development and application of digital industrial technology and advanced manufacturing methods. This is the first manufacturing base in the UAE and the first in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to be so recognized Non-energy manufacturing base.

In addition, Lipton Tea Factory, established in Jebel Ali Free Zone in 1998, is Unilever’s global tea center, exporting to 30 countries. Unilever exports 70% of the Jebel Ali factory’s products to markets on six continents, thereby promoting the “Made in the UAE” label globally.
