His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Said Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airlines and Group, today opened the first LPG in the Middle East ( LPG) weeks. The event will last until December 9th and will be held at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC).
With the theme of “Energetic Tomorrow”, Dubai Liquefied Petroleum Gas Week 2021 is organized by the World Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association (WLPGA) and undertaken by ENOC Group. The event will explore the LPG business within a week, discuss its growth potential and cultivate new business relationships.
The event was held in Dubai and attended by global industry leaders, reflecting the emirate’s leading position as a global hub for innovative energy solutions and its commitment to sustainable development.

During the opening ceremony of the event, a round table was held, which was composed of outstanding industry leaders from all over the world, including senior director-natural gas marketing and general manager of UAE Gas Company Nader Al Fardan, and Indian marketing director Satish Kumar Vaduguri Petroleum Company Limited , World Energy Council Secretary-General and CEO Dr. Angela Wilkinson, United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Sustainable Energy Director Scott Foster, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Downstream Group Executive Director Jemi Adtonji , Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation CEO Bram Graber SHV Energy.
The panel discussed the role of liquefied petroleum gas and renewable liquefied petroleum gas in injecting vitality into the future world in the context of the future energy challenges of climate change, air quality, energy poverty, and economic development.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas Week is the flagship event of WLPGA, which was launched in Amsterdam in 2019 during the 32nd World Liquefied Petroleum Gas Forum and the 2019 European Conference. LPG Week travels around the world every year, bringing together CEOs of major LPG companies, government ministers, representatives of major intergovernmental organizations, and the media to explore the LPG business, discuss its growth potential, and establish New business relationship.
