Speaking of his gothic makeup in the latest video “Black Ball”, NBA YoungBoy explained that black makeup made him feel “very comfortable.”
It was a busy week for NBA YoungBoy because he not only gave up some Brand new music, But he also spends time interacting with his fans, which is a courtesy of an impromptu interview with Akademiks in the Clubhouse. As @HotNewHipHop reported, Akademiks asked YoungBoy why he is now wearing black makeup. He can be seen in multiple shots of his video “Black Ball”. When answering the question, YoungBoy said: “I like to draw faces and make-up. I like to look in the mirror and see everything is black. Just like my eyes and s**t.”
He continued, “That’s 100% real! That’s me being myself. It’s just, I don’t know. That way I feel very comfortable. It gives me a gothic feeling, like a rock star.” NBA YoungBoy also revealed that in order to achieve the video effect he wanted, he asked his recording engineer to go out and buy cosmetics from MAC.
In the video, Young Boy and his girlfriend Jaz are playing together in a house, both of them are wearing black makeup. He also spends time with his newborn baby while he raps to the lyrics of the song.
As we previously reported, NBA YoungBoy is currently under house arrest in Utah while he is awaiting trial on gun charges in Louisiana.
