The famous composer of more than 200 films recounted his encounters with legendary film directors, songwriters and poets in music and dialogue. Accompanied by a quintet of five accordion, saxophone, clarinet, guitar, Mandocero, drum and percussion musicians.
Piovani’s extraordinary live storytelling runs through the highlights of his entire work in film, theater, symphony orchestras, and songs, as well as videos showing films, concerts, and works by artists such as Milo Manara, which feature Piovani’s music.
The 19th Abu Dhabi Festival in 2022 was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikha ShamsaBint Hamdan Al Nahyan and was supported by the main partner Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala) and energy partner GS Energy. The 2022 Abu Dhabi Arts Festival will have more than 1,000 artists from all over the world participating, and they will host more than 300 performances and events. The 19th edition will also include two world tours and 17 world premieres.
The 2022 Abu Dhabi Music Festival plan is part of the contribution made by the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation to the UAE’s capital designation as the UNESCO City of Music.
