Abu Dhabi Media Announces Its Exciting Ramadan Line-Up For Abu Dhabi TV

Abu Dhabi TV, part of the Abu Dhabi TV Network, has unveiled its line-up of programs for the Holy Month of Ramadan. The impressive range of shows feature eleven programs covering social, drama, and entertainment and will see top stars from the Gulf and the Arab world, in addition to special religious and humanitarian programs relevant to the Holy Month.

“Under the slogan”Hal hlalak Abu Dhabi darak”, Abu Dhabi TV and the ADTV app will offer a diverse collection of series and programs, including two series and three programs produced by Abu Dhabi Media.

In addition, there will also be a number of Egyptian series including ‘Pablo‘, ‘Shughl Aali’and ‘Wujouh‘, along with Gulfseries’Al Zaqoum’Mohammad Ali Road 2′Kaid Al Harim’and ‘Abdulhamid Hafez Family’ and finally the Syrian series ‘Kasr Adem’. There will also be a number of religious and interactive programs, including ‘Hadith Al Imam Al Tayyeb’,’Al Dunya B Khair–Awnak’and ‘Tabkhetna Ghair’.

All of Abu Dhabi TV’s Ramadan series and programs will be available for free via its website and the ADTV app which is available on Android TV, Apple TV, Apple Store, and Google Play, in addition to providing the livestreaming service that helps to keep up with all programs and series.

Haitham Alkathiri, Acting Executive Director of Abu Dhabi TV Network, said: “During the Holy Month of Ramadan, we seek to attract more viewers in the Arab world by providing rich and exclusive content for Abu Dhabi TV and the ADTV app. We aim to do this by providing new entertainment and drama choices ranging from Abu Dhabi Media’s own productions to a number of the best Arab productions, to ensure that Abu Dhabi TV Network is at a leading position as a diverse and complete media platform that meets the aspirations of the entire Arab audience.”

Gulf drama series

For fans of Gulf drama series, Abu Dhabi TV will present ‘Mohammad Ali Road 2’ after the massive success of the first season, following up on character development and events in a new plot. It begins with Yassin, the assistant of Captain Shihab, reaching the coast of Kuwait on an abandoned ship, causing shock among locals who had though the was dead after having disappeared for so long, with subsequent events revealing many mysteries behind his return, as Yassin is now not the same man he was before; rather he has knowledge of the supernatural powers and can speak the language of Jinn after his immigration to Zanzibar. The series, directed by Jassem Al Muhanna, deals with the themes of friendship, featty, and loyalty. It stars Khaled Amin, Saad Faraj, Bouthaina Al Raisi, and Faysal Al Omairi.

The series ‘Abdulhamid Hafez Family’directed by Haya Abdulsalam and Saud Bou Obaid, tells the story of Abdulhamid Al Sarhan, a man obsessed with the voice of the late singer Abdulhalim Hafez, who decides in his sixties to realize his dreams of becoming a singer, but has to deal with the opposition of people around him, particularly his wife and children. The series is produced by Abu Dhabi Media and will premiere exclusively on Abu Dhabi TV and the ADTV app, starring Ahmad Al Jesmi, Haya Abdulsalam, Asmahan Tawfik, and other stars.

The Gulf series ‘Al Zaqoum’ will join the list of anticipated shows on Abu Dhabi TV in Ramadan, presenting a dramatic and exciting story starring top stars like Saad Al Faraj and Qahtan Al Qahtani and Haifa Husain, and directed by Ahmad Al Muqla. The series tells the story of a crime committed by two friends 75 years ago to seize a rich man’s inheritance, exploiting the spread of smallpox at the time, with events unfolding to reveal their opulent life and business empire they had built together using the stolen money, but the threads of the crime begin to unravel after seven decades, uncovering all the guilty people and those who were involved.

As for comedy fans, Abu Dhabi TV presents the Gulf series ‘Kaid Al Harim’ starring Rogina, which is a light-hearted comedy about Sumaya, a divorced woman raising her children who is approached by two suitors after turning forty. She chooses one of them but thenhe dies one day after wedding, and she ends up inheriting his estate and becoming a stepmother for children who keep setting up mischievous pranks for her. The series is written by Fahad Al Baloushi and directed by Mustafa Fikri, starring Jassem Al Nabhan, Abdulimam Abdulla, Hanadi Al Kendari, Mohammad Al Haddad, Rawan Al Ali, Abdulla Al Tulaihi, Fahad Al Saleh, and Huda Al Hamdan.

Egyptian series

Throughout Ramadan, Abu Dhabi TV will feature the exclusive premier of the Egyptian drama series ‘Pablo‘, starring Hasan Al Raddad who portrays Sayyed Hasan, a gallant young man who has a strong and plucky character that helped him survive the difficult life he endured as an orphan. As he champions right and helps those in need, he ends up confronting a dangerous gang that deals in human trafficking. The series features top stars like Ahmad Zaher, Nabil Al Hilfawi, Sawsan Badr, Najlaa Badr, and Ahmad Fouad Salim, and is written by Hasan Dahshan and directed by Ibrahim Fakhr.

Another Egyptian drama series will be ‘Shughl Aali’which brings together a group of very popular actors like Fifi Abdo, Shireen Ridha, Ahmad Bedair, Houriyah Farghali, and Bayoumi Fouad. The series tells a comedic and fun story about two women of vastly different cultural backgrounds who are brought together by chance and Circumstances after being swindled, conned, and emotionally manipulated, prompting them to seek revenge and setting up a unusual company for dealing with deceitful men. The series is directed by Marcus Adel and written by Husain Muharram.

Abu Dhabi TV will also be presenting the Egyptian drama series ‘Wujouh‘, which tells stories about women who go through a variety of exciting and new events with the first story being titled ‘Third Face’ and the second ‘Broken Mirror’. The series stars Hanan Mutawih, Mahmoud Abdulmoghni, Mohammad “Jamaica” Alaa, May Salim, Abed Anani, Hala Fakher, Mohammad Al Kelani, and Ahmad wafiq, and is directed by Mutaz Hussam and written by Mohammad Ali Ibrahim.

Kasr Adem series

Fans of drama and excitement can tune in to watch the Syrian series ‘Kasr Adem‘ which tackles the issue of deep-rooted social corruption in all its forms, including blackmail, bribes, embezzlement, and exploiting youths’ hopes and pushing them to use narcotics and sell their organs in the absence of legal and moral deterrents. Director Rasha Sherbaji masterfully depicts this injustice prevailing across all segments of society including figures of authority, businessmen, and individuals who engage in immoral behavior that damage the social fabric. The series stars top Syrian stars like Rashid Assaf, Caress Bashar, Khaled Al Qish, Mohammad Hadaqi, and Nadine Tahsin Bek.

Awareness programs

Dr. Ahmad Al Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, will be sharing his profound religious knowledge via the program ‘Hadith Al Imam Al Tayyeb’ throughout the days of the Holy Month. He will be providing detailed explanations to viewers about the Names of Allah and how they can help Muslims in their worship to overcoming adversity, in addition to giving them faith, inner peace, and tranquility.

The program ‘Al Dunya B’Khair – Awnak’presented by Ahmad Al Yammahi, sheds light on the efforts exerted by the UAE Red Crescent to help people around the world. It shows a mediator disguising themselves as a needy person, walking around the streets of an Arab country in search of another needy person whom he asks for help such as some food or money or shelter, with profound human exchanges between the disguised actor and the actual needy person as the production team is hiding and observing in a special bus, only for the actor to reveal his identity and providing a gift to the needy person from the UAE Red Crescent.

Finally, Chef Naseem Rasrummani and Chef Abdulaziz Al Humaidan will take viewers on a culinary journey with ‘Tabkhetna Ghair’a fast-paced and comedic cooking show that presents in each episode ways to make delicious Arab cuisine, with the two chef celebrities adding their signature touches to each dish and creating exceptional recipes. Some episodes will also feature guest Michelin Star chefs to taste the dishes. The show will be broadcast throughout Ramadan on Abu Dhabi TV and ADTV app.
