After a busy month, it was very tempting, so as a treat to ourselves, we went to the resort on Palm Island for some TLC.

For massage, we were told that it would be a (happy) hour and we had to choose from traditional hammam, Arabic massage, Swedish massage, Balinese massage or Anantara signature massage.

We chose Anantara’s signature massage. After all the documents were completed, we were taken to the dressing room and then to the massage room. Here, our masseurs make us feel relaxed even before they start to soothe our muscles and tie our backs.

After the one-hour massage, we drank tea to relax further. Our masseur suggested that we sit in the steam room for 10 minutes to let the essential oils do their magic.

After freshening up, we went through the resort to the all-day dining restaurant Revo Cafe for dinner. The cafe is located at the other end of the resort and golf carts are available for transportation. We chose to walk to admire the traditional Thai architecture and scenes.

As soon as you arrive at the restaurant, you will be transported from an island to a corner café in Italy, filled with floral tablecloths and traditional Italian music.

Our friendly waiter handed us a selection menu. We chose a light and refreshing salad with burrata and fruit, and then a comforting spaghetti—this is exactly what my mother made. When we squeezed in, we enjoyed the music while enjoying the view of Burj Al Arab and the Arabian Sea.

For dessert, we indulged in tiramisu topped with large chocolate chips. It is bright and airy, and is a great way to end the day.

If you book this package by yourself, you can also spend time at the swimming pool and beach. Due to high humidity and insufficient time, we skipped these places this time, but if you want to get a tan or just swim, please arrange a time for your massage Some time before.
