Sometimes it’s time to put the brakes on fast-paced life Back to natureThe mangroves will open in the Jebel Ali Wildlife Sanctuary around April 2021. Although you cannot visit it yet, a plan to open it to the public has been made.

The mangrove forest covers an area of 500,000 square meters, and 1 million mangrove trees will be planted. There will be 600 species of animals and plants.

Procter & Gamble’s Dubai Mangroves was co-sponsored by Procter & Gamble (P&G) and UAE Marine Environment Group (EMEG). It will include coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass beds and natural beaches. It will also be used for animal rescue and species protection.
The area will have 15 kilometers of mangrove forest and 6 kilometers of wetland. Naturally, it attracts many wild animals, from crabs and oysters to birds and even gazelles. It is planned to place 60% of Dubai’s land under forests in the next few decades.
Other beautiful mangrove sites in the UAE (you can actually visit) include Mangrove Beach In Khor Al Yeefrah, Umm Al Quwain, about 55 minutes drive from Dubai, and Abu Dhabi Mangrove Trail, With beautiful boardwalks and abundant activities.
Mangroves play an important role in the environment of the UAE and other regions by reducing carbon dioxide in the air, which helps to actively slow down global warming. The mangroves are home to many different kinds of birds and marine life.
Mangrove areas will be protected, and environmental experts will use it to develop complete forests by planting new mangroves and adopting old mangroves to “maximize future carbon sequestration capacity.” The project is in line with Dubai’s 2040 city master plan, doubling the green space.
