Jerry Hall has filed for divorce from Rupert Murdoch.
The 65-year-old model filed documents in California Superior Court in Los Angeles County to formally end her marriage to the 91-year-old media mogul, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
According to People magazine, Jerry asked for spousal support and her husband to pay legal fees.
The document added that Jerry did not want the court to support her estranged husband.
Jerry said in the filing that she “does not understand the full nature and extent of all assets and liabilities and will amend this petition as information is determined.”
The pair tied the knot in a civil ceremony at Spencer Palace in London on March 4, 2016, and the following day at St. Bride’s Chapel in Fleet Street.
The media mogul – who owns both The Times and The Sun in the UK – was originally married to Patricia Booker, whom he split with Prudence, 64, in 1967.
Later that year, he married his second wife, Anna Mariatov, and the couple gave birth to Elizabeth, 53, Lachlan, 50, and James, 49, but he married Wendi Deng in 1999, just in A few days after his divorce from Anna.
However, Rupert and Wendy – who have Grace, 21, and Chloe, 19 – divorced in 2013.
Jerry, meanwhile, had a long-term relationship with rock legend Mick Jagger in the 1990s, and fathers Elizabeth, 38, James, 36, Georgia May, 30, and Gabriel, 24. But they parted ways in 1999. She found out he was having an affair with Brazilian model Luciana Jiménez.
At their 2016 wedding, Rupert claimed to be the “luckiest and happiest person in the world”, while at a 90th birthday party in 2021, Jerry was said to have “spoiled Mr. Murdoch during the festivities” “.
