Nissan Makes Structural Changes, Infiniti Is Labeled Middle East

Nissan Motor Company has announced changes to its management and operating structure in key Middle East verticals, aimed at furthering its successful operations in the region.

Under the new structure, effective July 1, 2022, the newly created Infiniti Middle East business unit will be integrated into the wider Nissan Middle East network. These changes will help advance Nissan Next’s transformation plan to drive profitable growth and build momentum for the company’s long-term vision, Nissan Ambition 2030.

Nissan, which already has a strong presence and heritage in the region, seeks to place a strategic focus on Infiniti to further cement its leadership and build a strong governance structure. These changes enable both brands to achieve a faster decision-making process, deliver a best-in-class customer experience, and provide more support for their retail networks, while maintaining their unique brand identities. The move is said to create exciting career opportunities for employees of both brands.

Provide innovation

Starting this week, Thierry Sabbagh, currently Nissan Saudi Arabia president and Nissan Middle East managing director, will now also be in charge of Infiniti’s Middle East business.

Commenting on the recent changes, Sabbag said: “As the Middle East becomes increasingly important to Nissan, we will continue to focus on delivering innovations that create exciting, high-quality products people can trust and provide our customers with Offering a unique experience. In addition to putting Sabbagh in charge of the Middle East business, the company also announced Andrew McLaughlan as Infiniti Middle East’s new managing director.

In addition, Adib Takieddine, formerly Director of Nissan Middle East Sales Operations, Vehicle Quantity Management and Corporate Planning, will serve as Managing Director of Nissan Saudi Arabia. Both McLaughlan and Takieddine will report to Sabbagh.
