10 great things to do in Abu Dhabi this weekend: 19-21 August

[ad_1]

We are warming up for you…

We love our weekends as much as we love our condiments – super spicy and plenty of room for dipping. So if you want to spice up your life this weekend, we have no sauces for you.

Friday, August 19

New at the cinema this weekend

You are wizard Harry. This is the WB re-release weekend for the third film (and of course the book) in the original Harry Potter saga. It’s a spell that’s actually been 18 years from its original box office drop date (sorry if this makes you feel old). This version takes the darkness of the story up a notch, putting our titular Jagged Scar of adolescence face to face with a group of soul-sucking prison HR executives known as the Dementors, who are on the hunt for Potter’s estranged uncle, Sirius Black. This is your invitation to relive the magic on the big screen, Expecto Popcornum.

The miracle of youth

Bawabat Al Sharq Shopping Centre is wrapping up the end of summer with a grand climax – this weekend has a plethora of activities that will captivate and excite young curiosity. In addition to great prices on all back-to-school essentials, the Amazing World Activation offers jungle-themed fun, educational activities and the chance to win coupons.

The night is dark and full of fear

Horror, but interactive. Hardly anyone said it, but somehow it still exists – right here in Abu Dhabi. Teams of 2 to 10 players can try their (rough) hands on a pair of spooky narrative-driven escape room experiences – with live actors. House of Evil and The Morgue – both take around 60 minutes to complete and cost around Dhs180 per person (based on four players).
