The UAE has shipped Dh60 million worth of medical supplies to countries around the world to help those in need.
As part of the ForeverCare initiative, the Dihad Sustainable Humanitarian Foundation partnered with the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) to send medicines and medical supplies such as bandages and gauze.
Dubai International Humanitarian assistance and Development (Dihad) initiated the project to reduce the burden of people suffering from severe and chronic diseases in developing countries.
The supplies will be used to support hospitals and medical sectors in the UAE and abroad, in addition to the clinics run by the Emirates Red Crescent in the camps.
Dr. Abdul Al Madani, chairman of the Dihad Sustainable Humanitarian Foundation, said the delivery of the first supplies marked the foundation’s continued commitment to aid efforts.
“We are keen to follow the UAE’s approach to giving, working with our sustainable partner, the Emirates Red Crescent, to build bridges for humanitarian work around the world, and the Emirates Red Crescent has been a huge supporter of ours,” He says.
“The total value of the 2022 initiative is AED 60 million, through which we hope to provide all kinds of medical support and assistance to eligible people around the world.”
