ABU DHABI, 22nd August, 2022 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI), in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), the UAE Talent Competitiveness Council (NAFIS) and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) organised a second meeting to raise awareness of the UAE’s competitiveness programme ‘NAFIS’ incentives.
The meeting also highlighted the Cabinet’s decision to increase the Emiratisation of the private sector and the importance of the UAE’s contribution to UAE growth.
The meeting was held at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce headquarters and was attended by ADDED Deputy Minister Rashid Abdulkarim Al Blooshi; and MoHRE Assistant Deputy Minister for National Human Resource Employment Farida Al Ali. The meeting included representatives from the NAFIS Council and the private sector, as well as entrepreneurs from various industries in the UAE.
The session covered key topics, including an overview of the government’s recent decision to increase emirates in the private sector, and NAFIS’ planned incentives to support government decisions. This contributes to the realization of the UAE’s vision of enhancing the role of the nation’s human resources and their contribution to the country’s economic development.
Mohamed Helal Al Muhairi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between various government, federal and local entities to expedite the recruitment of national talent in the private sector as they play a key role. role in supporting the country’s economic development.
He also praised the UAE’s efforts to increase the rate of Emiratisation in the private sector and encouraged companies to adopt strategies to provide national talent with competitive career paths, enabling them to achieve their ambitions and achieve great success.
Al Blooshi said: “As part of initiatives to promote Emiratisation, the UAE government has allocated AED 24 billion to support 75,000 UAE nationals entering the private sector, and the Talent Competitiveness Council recently launched 11 initiatives to increase Emiratisation. In addition, “The Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy was launched at the end of June and aims to provide 13,600 professional jobs for skilled human resources in the UAE. We will continue to work with agencies to achieve the goals of these strategic initiatives. “
In turn, Al Ali said that the NAFIS programme and the decision to increase the Emiratisation of the private sector is one of the most important efforts to support the Emiratisation initiative in the country. In order to increase Emiratization in the private sector, it is important to raise awareness among private company owners and their representatives of the program requirements and initiatives to increase Emiratization in the private sector, and to identify opportunities and benefits for both initiatives.
She highlighted the importance of increasing the number of UAE nationals in skilled jobs by 2% annually, as well as including vacancies on the NAFIS platform with the company’s Emiratisation goals and plans, and started taking the necessary steps to appoint UAE nationals.
As part of the meeting, attendees were briefed on the NAFIS program, its opportunities and advantages, and benefits to the private sector.
Ahmed Al Janahi of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization detailed the government’s recent decision to increase Emiratization in the private sector. Al Janahi discussed the benefits and incentives offered by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation to support Emiratisation and the guidelines that private companies should follow to benefit from these incentives.
