UAE-based home maintenance specialist Hitches & Glitches (H&G), part of the Farnek Group, has appointed Zohaib Azhar as head of operations to drive its green digital strategy for hardware and software FM services, including energy management.
In his new role, Azhar will manage all commercial aspects of the H&G FM program, including cash flow and profitability, implementation of asset strategy and operating policies, document control and reporting.

Azhar now manages more than 500 employees, operates 100 vehicles across all seven emirates, and serves 6,000 customers with a wide range of services including electrical and plumbing, air conditioning, tank cleaning, swimming pool maintenance and general handyman services.
Azhar is also responsible for advancing the H&G Home Services app – a one-stop solution for any cleaning or maintenance work a tenant or homeowner needs, with access to a 24/7 customer service center and emergency calls.
The app has an Uber-style tracking system that enables users to track the progress of their home maintenance service requests and track the exact arrival time of the technician on Google Maps in real time. It also provides customers with the convenience of approving material costs to complete home repairs online if desired.

Additionally, H&G can supply and install smart home gadgets such as RING video doorbells and security lighting, as well as NEST air conditioning controls. Not only can tenants and homeowners protect their property while they’re away, they can save on utility bills and protect the environment.
H&G also expanded its operations to manage restaurant and office facilities, which required a more professional, flexible and responsive approach.
