The 180,000 sqm new campus of the UK’s private international college has been unveiled in Khalifa, Abu Dhabi.
Yasmina British Academy will be operating from the new school year for FS1 (nursery) and FS2 students. The new purpose-built campus will be an extension of the existing local college and students will transition in two phases.
“We are enrolling almost 3,000 students a year. But we have an excess demand. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate students on the waiting list, which is why we are considering scaling up,” Keith Miller, executive principal of Yasmina British Academy, told Khaleej Times .
“In a few weeks, we will see a new state-of-the-art campus near Al Forsan, which is buzzing with activity. We are very excited about this new campus,” Miller noted.
The new campus of Al Yasmina College has been opened by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).
“We will continue to deliver an exceptional educational experience through our new world-class facility. FS1 and FS2 students will be relocating to the new location starting this month,” said Stephen Sharples, Executive Director (Education), Aldar Education.
The new campus includes a large auditorium for performances and conferences, a series of swimming pools, 12 specialized science laboratories, state-of-the-art computer suites, audio, film and television recording studios, STEM and design and technology facilities, as well as outstanding indoor and Outdoor sports facilities.
Every classroom will feature the latest interactive technology.
“The new multi-building campus will facilitate a future-focused educational experience, while delivering on our environmental commitment to providing sustainable schools in the UAE,” stressed Holly Gibbs, Head of Primary School.

While Stage 1 for FS1 (Nursery) and FS2 students will begin with the school year on 29 August, the rest of the school will be ready for Stage 2 expansion.
“As part of Phase 2, an impressive Post-16 Centre will be built to maintain our prominence in the very popular and well-connected Khalifa City area of Abu Dhabi. Once fully completed, it will To be a leading educational facility of its kind in Abu Dhabi,” said Senior Manager (Operations) Ish Siyani.
“The new facility will be a social, sporting and performance hub for the city’s local and international community. The new campus allows us to add more value to our current outstanding education, while leveraging the reputation of the Aldar Academies brand to positively impact our learning community in the UAE life,” Siyani added.
