ABU DHABI, 26th August, 2022 (WAM) — The International Tennis Centre at Zayed Sports City will host the 14th Mubadala World Tennis Championships from December 16th to 18th, 2022.
Championship owner Flash Entertainment has revealed that six of the world’s top men’s tennis players and two top women’s players will once again go head-to-head in the three-day tournament.
“The Mubadala World Tennis Championships has grown in popularity over the years and has grown into one of the most sought-after tennis events in the world, with a strong reputation in international sporting events,” Flash Entertainment CEO John Licklish (John Lickrish) said. “The world’s best tennis players and passionate fans are ready to come to Abu Dhabi for an exhilarating three-day tennis event where the champions will return.”

Last year, Russian Andrei Rublev won his first Mubadala World Championship by defeating Andy Murray in straight sets in the final. Tunisia’s most successful women’s tennis player Anse Jaber beat Olympic gold medalist Belinda Bencic to become the first Arab to compete and win the title. Jabeur then continued her success in Abu Dhabi by reaching this year’s Wimbledon final at SW19.
