Within the capital, the two rightmost lanes of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street in both directions, between Zayed the First Street and Al Mawkib Street, will open at 11pm tonight (August 26).
The leftmost lane of Al Bateen Street, which extends from Al Falah Street to Corniche Street, will be closed to traffic from 12:00 am on Saturday, 27 August until 5:00 am on Monday, 29 August.
As the ITC announced, most of this weekend’s closures are on outside roads.
The ramp from Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Road (E11) near Shakhbout City and the two left lanes to Al Shawamekh will be closed from midnight Saturday 27 August until 5 am Monday 29 August.
Maqta Bridge will also see some road closures. From Friday, August 26 at 4:00 pm to Monday, August 29 at 5:30 am, both left-hand lanes will be closed to traffic in both directions.
Meanwhile, the right-hand lane to Abu Dhabi on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Road (E12), along Al Laffan Street, Saadiyat Island, will be open from 11pm on Friday 26 August to 29 August Closed at 5am on Mondays.
Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Road (E22) will also be partially closed. The left lane heading towards Abu Dhabi will be closed from 3pm on Friday 26th August until noon on Sunday 28th August.
The ITC has urged motorists to drive with caution and to obey traffic rules and regulations at all times.
