Pitbulls come to Van Andel Arena
Pitbull and Iggy Azalea are heading to Grand Rapids, Michigan for their “Can’t Stop Us Now Tour” and will perform at the Van Andel Arena on August 30th at 8pm. This show is one of many that will be played by the artists. Tickets are on sale online, starting at $52.
GrandCon Gaming Conference
Held at the DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan, GrandCon is an event that features tabletop games such as board games, role-playing games, family games and card games.

GRAM hosts temporary art studio
The Grand Rapids Museum of Art will be hosting an open studio experience on September 3, from 1-4 p.m., with one image free with museum admission. The campaign was inspired by Louise Nevelson’s exhibition at the museum entitled “dawn cloud. “
Art installation in Frederik Meijer Gardens
Frederik Meijer Gardens reopened their sculpture park in April after a year of renovations.
There is currently aYinka Shonibare CBE: The Planet in My Mind” On display until October 23rd. This artwork showcases Shonibare’s Anglo-Nigerian heritage through sculpture, painting, photographs, collage, embroidery and film. The exhibition is included in the entrance fee to the garden.
The Washed Ashore Collection at the John Ball Zoo
The John Ball Zoo is exhibiting awashed ashore” now via November 30. The collection contains 16 different sculptures composed of fragments recovered from the Oregon coast.
Art exists to spread awareness about environmental protection and pollution.
Pieces are placed throughout the zoo and are included in the admission fee.
Frederik Meijer Garden hosts the Grand Rapids Ballet
Grand Rapids Ballet (GRB) will perform at the Frederik Meijer Garden Summer Series on August 30 at 7 p.m.
This is GRB’s third summer series after Studio Park and Summer Dance Festival.
Tickets can be purchased online or on the day of the show, and are free for Frederick Meyer Garden and Sculpture Park members.
Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, and chairs of all heights are welcome.
