Natalie Emanuel ‘a big fan of psychological thrillers’.
The 33-year-old actress is a big fan of thrillers, and Natalie sees elements of it in her new film, The Invitation.
The actress — who plays a struggling student artist in the Jessica M Thompson-directed film — told The Hollywood Reporter: “I really like psychological thrillers, the ones that keep you guessing and are all about building suspense. .I like that style.
“I actually think we had a big element in this movie. Evie felt like something was going on, but didn’t quite know what.
“As a viewer, you can’t help but wonder what’s going on and where the threat is coming from. Sometimes, you get it wrong, but it happens when you least expect it. So I just love this style of storytelling, But who doesn’t like bloody stuff?”
Earlier this month, Natalie revealed that she had been “eager” to star in a horror movie.
The actress starred in “The Invitation,” which Natalie admits is something she’s been passionate about for years.
“I’ve always been very interested in trying various genres,” she said. “It’s something I haven’t done before and I’m very eager to try.”
The film was filmed in Budapest, and Natalie admits she found it an exhausting experience.
She shared: “I mean, actually, it’s very, very tiring to play pure horror and trauma. It’s a useful feeling though, because while you feel like there’s nothing left; you have to keep trying. When you’re a Characters trying to survive the horror!”
