WGES highlights the value of a green urban environment

The eighth World Green Economy Summit (WGES) will discuss green urbanism and the importance of designing smarter, more sustainable cities to combat climate change.

It will also address the importance of improving the resilience and competitiveness of cities to enhance their ability to address climate risks and improve the quality, well-being and well-being of individuals.

The Minister praised WGEO for choosing green urbanism as the main topic of discussions in the 8th edition of WGES, emphasizing the UAE’s future-centred approach under the leadership of its President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

“This vision reinforces the UAE’s global position as one of the leaders in the green economy. It proactively announced a strategy to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, becoming the first country in the MENA region to join global action to achieve carbon neutrality ,” said Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary General of Dubai Executive Council.
