Digital Knowledge Center records 1 million visits from 235,000 users

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation’s Digital Knowledge Centre is visited 1 million times a year by 235,000 users, with users viewing more than 820,000 pages on an average of 2.9 pages per visit.

The Center is one of the largest digital libraries of Arabic content in the world, offering approximately 3.5 million digital items distributed across 245,906 titles in various fields, including books, articles, studies, research papers, historical materials, reports and guides, as well as video and audio content.

The growth in the number of visitors shows the importance of the digital knowledge hub as a comprehensive platform and a comprehensive source of information in various fields. The platform meets the needs of individual schools, universities, as well as researchers, masters and doctoral students, casual readers, staff, policy makers and the general public. The center also provides a wealth of knowledge, providing a platform for prominent Arabic publishing houses to promote Arabic authors and cementing Arabic as a key language for disseminating knowledge on digital platforms.

Featuring the first dedicated search engine for Arabic-language content, the Digital Knowledge Center provides digital solutions, providing publicists with an integrated platform to develop, distribute and promote eBooks globally through its portal.

It includes knowledge publications issued by MBRF’s partners within the framework of the Foundation’s cooperation with 25 institutions. MBRF’s key partners include Dubai Institute of Justice, Hokama Institute of Corporate Governance, Dubai Maritime City Authority, DP World, Dubai Police Academy, UAE Ministry of Finance, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Real Estate Institute, Dubai Supreme Energy Council, Dubai Ministry of Finance; Dubai Municipality; Dubai DED; and Egyptian Authority for Adult Education.

Knowledge sector

The center is not only a digital knowledge platform, but also provides digital solutions to accelerate the development of the knowledge sector in the Arab world, and serves as a memory storage platform to protect the content of Arab knowledge institutions, enabling them to build their own digital library platforms.

Furthermore, it is the only Arabic language platform that facilitates comprehensive analysis to study reading and knowledge trends of beneficiaries and researchers. It also includes 14 specialized libraries serving different age groups and scientific specialties in all fields of knowledge.

These libraries include: Zayed Library, Arabic Library, Paralympic Library, History Library, Artificial Intelligence Library, Space Library, Literary Library, Arabic Library, Energy Library, Law Library , Dubai Municipal Library, Economic Library and EPub Library.

ambitious agenda

The Digital Knowledge Center has an ambitious agenda to offer more international books and publications. These agendas include developing the Center’s network of alliances and partnerships with Arab and global publishing companies, highlighting the Center’s leadership in directing the digitization of Arab libraries, and promoting access to knowledge across a variety of professions and industries.
