The Abu Dhabi Labour Court has dismissed a hospital’s appeal against a court decision requiring it to pay AED60,000 dues to nurses working for it, a travel ticket or its value, and a proof of experience.

The details go back even further, when a nurse filed a labor lawsuit demanding that the hospital pay her dues, including late fees, leave allowances, end-of-service gratuities, holiday overtime, warning allowances, unfair dismissal compensation, travel tickets, legal rights, Proof of experience and fees.

The nurse said she worked at the hospital with a monthly salary of Dh15,000 until her service was terminated, but the hospital did not pay her dues.

The court of first instance ordered the hospital to pay the nurse Dh60,000 and an air ticket or its value unless she changed jobs, as well as a proof of experience.

The court rejected any other requests and ordered the hospital to pay the costs of the lawsuit.

The hospital appealed the verdict to have it quashed, but the court dismissed the case, noting that the nurse signed a settlement after ending their relationship with the hospital, but the appeal was dismissed.
