Ready to have a good time spinning, spinning and spinning? Now in its 66th season, the annual Plymouth Autumn Festival will take place in central Plymouth from September 9th to 11th.
Carnival rides open at 3pm Friday and 11am Saturday and Sunday.
If you’re not into spinning, swinging and bouncing to the din of rave music, the weekend also includes a full entertainment programme, a car show, a craft show, a pet show and vendors. Of course, there is also food.
Plymouth Mayor Nick Moroz said: “This festival is a great capstone to a fantastic season with events that truly showcase the vibrancy of our business district and the people who love to live, work and play in Plymouth. “It’s a celebration of everything that is welcome, inclusive and proud of our community.”
In addition to Carnival Cuisine, the festival will host its annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, September 10, 7am-noon, and Sunday, September 10, 11am-5pm (or until sold out) Traditional Rotary’s Annual Chicken BBQ 11. Dinner includes half a chicken, corn on the cob, rolls, bottled water and biscuits.

New to the festival this year, circus performers head to the main stage at Kellogg Park at noon on Saturday. Festival organizers say professional entertainers and skilled coaches will introduce young audiences to the basics of circus art – juggling, movement and balance – in a safe, fun and educational environment. Organisers also hope that this year’s festival will also feature a pie-eating contest, a dunk and a children’s area.
