OKEMOS, Mich. — For those not traveling this holiday weekend, there’s a lot to do in central Michigan, including Meridian Motorfest.
High Calibre Karting and Entertainment held their second annual auto show with over 50 cars in attendance, as well as a giant truck and food truck.
More than 60 prizes were also given away, with 13 cars taking home the jackpot.
In addition to enjoying the cool cars, attendees can also enter a raffle where one lucky guest can enter a free karting race at High Caliber for a year.
General manager Zach Bingham said the event was not only fun, but all the money went to good causes.
“We’ve actually partnered with the Sparrow Foundation on a campaign called Dapper Dads,” Bingham said. “It’s for women’s health, so every dollar we make today will actually go to work with the Sparrow Foundation.” Women’s Health, because Jordan is actually one of the Dapper Dads contestants. So if you’re looking for anyone to vote, vote for Jordan Munsters in the Dapper Dads contest, because we want to see as much money as possible going to women’s health. “
Despite the dark clouds, this year’s results were even better than last year, Bingham said, and expects it to be an annual Labor Day weekend event.
