Queen Elizabeth II of the UAE: key milestones

ABU DHABI – The mood turned somber after yesterday’s announcement that Queen Elizabeth II had died at the age of 96.

The late Queen has played a key role in strengthening the deep-rooted friendship between the UAE and the United Kingdom (UK) since the days of the founding leader, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the United Nations said in a statement issued by the United Nations.
