Abu Dhabi Marina Hospital welcomes the return of its annual international conference

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: Marina Hospital, part of the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), will once again welcome medical experts from around the world to its annual conference. The latest edition of the Binhai Hospital International Conference: The Latest Advances in Women’s Health and Perinatal Medicine, which will be held from September 10th to 11th, is expected to welcome over 3,000 attendees.

Returning for the first time since 2019, the conference will include five parallel specialties related to Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Anesthesia, Fetal Medicine, Neonatology, Fertility, Obstetric Medicine and Midwifery.

Dr. Stella’s presentation at the conference will focus on how Marina Hospital is saving babies’ lives and reducing stillbirths. Between 2020 and 2021, the hospital implemented an intensive training program aligned with the Growth Assessment Protocol (GAP), using customized fetal growth charts to identify infants at risk of stillbirth due to small size or placental problems.

This has led to a significant increase in prenatal testing of small-for-gestational-age babies to ensure they are delivered safely. During the same period, the stillbirth rate in hospitals dropped by at least 40%.
