International property consultant Savills has further strengthened its management team in the UAE and the wider Middle East with significant promotions and new hires.
Shane Breen has been promoted to Head of Sharjah and Northern Emirates after 15 years in Savills UAE, cementing Savills as the only established international real estate advisor in Sharjah and Northern Emirates status.
Shane has worked in the UAE for over 35 years, witnessing multiple market cycles, which has given him a wealth of experience in the industry. He has held various functions in different markets in the Middle East, from property management to commercial agency. In his most recent role at Savills, he specialised in commercial valuation services and advisory across a range of asset classes, serving clients such as government, private investors and developers.
In his new role, Shane will be responsible for managing Savills’ current portfolio in Sharjah and the Northern Emirate and will identify and secure emerging opportunities in these markets.

Stephen Forbes joins Savills as head of Abu Dhabi. He has 30 years of global real estate experience in all aspects of commercial and residential properties, from valuation to strategic consulting to agency services. Stephen has been in Abu Dhabi for the past 10 years working with companies such as Al Fahim Group, TDIC and Mubadala.
In his new role, Stephen’s main focus will be supporting day-to-day operations and client management in Abu Dhabi. Stephen will enable the team to provide clients with first-class advisory, property management and agency services, as well as work closely with regional businesses to increase business opportunities.
