Wolf! Scott Metzger Announces New EP ‘Adult Entertainment’, Shares Single ‘Ratso’

After a six-year hiatus, Wolf!New EP returns with Scott Metzger, Jon Shaw and Taylor Floreth titled adult entertainment, will be released on October 28th via Royal Potato Family. Following the announcement, the trio shared a new single for the upcoming six-track “Ratso,” listen now.

WOLF!’s upcoming expansion, recorded at Restoration Sound in Brooklyn, NY, was mixed by Chris Connors. Combining elements of surf rock with a ’60s boogaloo feel and plenty of experimentation, the group’s first product “Ratso” is the ideal introduction to a set of music immersed in deep instruments.

The group also shared that their upcoming track “Hawaiian Shirts” features nearly-dead bandmate Marco Benevento of Joe Russo of Metzger on Fafisa organ. Other songs on the EP include the guitar-heavy “Hey Francis,” the cheerful “Cottonmouth” and the expansive “Patty Cake.” The EP consists of six pieces in total, showcasing the band’s unique instrumental abilities as a powerful configuration.

“Wolf! Something. When the three of us play together, there’s an innate chemistry,” Metzger revealed via a press release. “I don’t hear anyone else actually play instrumental music like this right now. It’s a guitar-centric band, but it’s not about guitar solos or fancy chops. Three people in a room making music in real time, it feels good, You get it the first time you hear it. I think we all need a little bit these days,” he concluded.

Additionally, the band shared dates for their East Coast excursion, which will begin in early October, when they arrive at the Sultan Hall in Brooklyn, New York, on October 6, followed by their 10th October 2019 show in Fairfield on October 7. A stage show, Connecticut. The last stop will take the wolf!Headed to Pembroke, MA, at Soundcheck Studios on October 8, followed by a final concert at Still Partners in Sea Cliff, New York, on October 9
