A video of members of the UAE Armed Forces repairing a flat tire of a woman stranded on a highway has gone viral.

Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Lt. Gen. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan shared the video on his Instagram Story.

Sheikh Saif bin Zayed said an armed forces soldier was changing the tires of an Asian woman’s car that broke down on a public road.

The video was filmed by the woman, who is believed to be Pakistani.

The woman said in the video: “Look at the UAE army…how they help everyone. Our car had a flat try…the army itself came to help us.

The woman went on to ask the officer’s name…and said thank you very much, you are so kind…I salute this army.

The woman then recounted the incident to her audience on social media and thanked the UAE military.

The incident is believed to have occurred in Abu Dhabi.

This is not the first time Emirati authorities have helped residents living on the streets.

In 2020, Sharjah Police helped residents who were trapped on a highway due to a flat tire in their vehicle.

It was an ordinary day for a Sharjah family. Their family members were commuting to get off work in their SUV when they had a flat tire on the outskirts of the emirate.

A Sharjah police patrol car is on duty in the area. The police noticed the distressed residents and stopped the car.

The owner explained the situation to officers and asked for help.

The officers acted immediately to calm them down, take down the tire size and tell them to wait.

The officer got into the car, went to the nearest tire shop, and picked up a spare tire for the resident.

The police repaired the tires in the car themselves. Residents were left speechless by the humanitarian actions of the Sharjah police.

They kept thanking the police for their help.

UAE authorities have urged residents to obey traffic laws. They also called on car owners to check their cars before embarking on a journey, especially long distances.

Authorities have been advocating for summer campaigns aimed at raising awareness and encouraging drivers to obey designated speed limits on the roads, in addition to keeping tires safe to avoid accidents as summer approaches.
