Trevor Penney will be assistant coach while James Foster will be batting and wicket coach

The long-awaited sixth season of the Abu Dhabi T10 is just around the corner and one of the new teams, the Morrisville SAMP Army, has announced their coaching line-up.
The SAMP Army coaching staff will be led by legendary South African all-rounder Lance Kluesener as head coach and Trevor Penney as assistant coach. The pair will be joined by James Foster, one of the county’s best-known cricketers as batting and wicket coach.
Known for his explosive batting and bowling abilities, Klusener has also coached in several T20 leagues around the world, including the IPL with the decorated Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. The former cricketer has also played with international teams in South Africa, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.
After his appointment, Crusenna said: “It’s a pleasure to be back at T10 Abu Dhabi and I’m really looking forward to having a blast with the Morrisville SAMP Army this time around. I’m really happy to see the players that have been brought in and hopefully we Both sync well and lead the team to greatness. T10 is a very exciting format and we’re here to win.”
Meanwhile, Trevor Penney has coached IPL teams Kings XI Punjab, the now-defunct Deccan Lightning and Kolkata Cavaliers, as well as Caribbean Premier League teams St Lucia Zouks, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots Assistant coach of the team and the Barbados Tridents. Most recently, he was the chief assistant coach of the Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2021 and was appointed as the head coach of the Barbados Royals in April 2022.
Foster, on the other hand, has served as T20 batting consultant for Glamorgan 2019 T20 Blast and fielding coach for KKR in IPL 2020. In 2022, he will take over as head coach of Pakistan Premier League Peshawar Zalmi.
