84% of new COVID-19 cases are unvaccinated individuals

National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Agency (NCEMA) Inform the public that with the soaring Coronavirus disease-19 cases, unvaccinated individuals are more susceptible to the virus.

Currently, 71% of the total UAE population has been vaccinated, and 91.8% of eligible people have been vaccinated.

Individuals who were not vaccinated were more likely to be hospitalized, with a rate of 89%, and those who were vaccinated were hospitalized at 11%.

The propagation speed of the new Delta variant is 40% to 60% higher than other variants.

In a study conducted in different countries, individuals who used the Delta variant were more likely to be hospitalized compared to the alpha variant, especially for individuals with other health conditions.

In the UAE, the most common variant is the Beta variant, accounting for 39.2%, followed by the Delta variant, accounting for 33.9%, followed by the Alfa variant, accounting for 11.3%.

Individuals who have not been vaccinated can make an appointment at a registered vaccination center, and individuals who have received two vaccinations at the same time will receive booster injections within six months.

Individuals are advised to take all precautions to contain the pandemic.
