RAK Sharjah joins UAE’s NextGenFDI programme

The UAE Ministry of Economy has announced the addition of more stakeholders to its NextGenFDI programme, a landmark initiative aimed at attracting digital companies to the UAE.

Sharjah Foreign Direct Investment Office (Invest Sharjah), Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park), Sharjah Media City (Shams), Sharjah Islamic Bank and real estate company Arada come together to showcase investment, banking, establishment And real – real estate support in the emirate of Sharjah.

The latest stakeholders to join the first phase of the programme partners Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Dubai South, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), Dubai Internet City, Emirates NBD and WIO Bank, they are already facilitating the entry of global tech companies from all over the world.

Launched in July, the programme aims to target businesses from around the world with a package of market access bases needed to launch and expand within the UAE, including a fast and flexible company registration process, fast-track licensing, bulk visa issuance, banking facilities and commercial and residential leasing incentives.

The programme aims to accelerate the UAE’s economic diversification agenda and enhance its position as a knowledge and innovation economy.

Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, oversees the country’s FDI and global talent agenda, and believes the latest NextGenFDI partners will further assist the ministry’s efforts to attract global tech companies, software developers, data scientists and coders to the UAE .
