Paul Farbrace will return as Abu Dhabi’s head coach for this year’s Abu Dhabi T10, which will take place at the Abu Dhabi Cricket and Sports Centre from 22 November to 4 December.

Fabrese spent five years with the England men’s team before joining Warwickshire as sporting director and leading Abu Dhabi to a third-place finish in 2021.

He will now return to the home team dugout at the Zayed Cricket Stadium for the sixth season of the Abu Dhabi T10, as will former England international Sarah Taylor.

Taylor, who brought changes to the women’s coaches in the men’s professional game when she joined the Abu Dhabi coaching staff last year, will serve as Fabrese’s assistant.

Otis Gibson, who has previously worked with the West Indies, England, Bangladesh and South Africa, will lead the bowling department, while former Zimbabwe international Grant Flower has signed on as batting coach.

“I thought it was a good game,” Fabrese said on his T10 debut in Abu Dhabi last season. “I was looking forward to it and it turned out to be a fantastic game. You get some of the best players in the world, some of the best coaches, it’s a good combination.

“Sarah did a fantastic job last year and I think her enthusiasm and her energy in the team was fantastic. I look forward to seeing her expand on what she did last year and I think she’ll bring more innovations And having an even bigger impact on the team this year.

“We also have Otis and Grant, who have worked at the highest end of the sport, have a lot of experience, and they have a contagious passion for the game. I think as a coaching staff, we all have Over time, we’ve managed to build a world-class setup that every player can use.”

Sean Anderson, general manager of Abu Dhabi, added: “I’m delighted that Paul is again with us for the upcoming tournament. We share similar philosophies in the way we approach the T10 format and the types of players and personalities we need. All the way Good. It’s an exciting start to the new season and I’m sure we have the right people on board to make sure we’re in the mix at the end of the game.”

Farbrace’s side won seven of their 10 games at the league stage of the 2021 Abu Dhabi T10, but lost both the second qualifier and knockout rounds, costing them a place in the final.

Abu Dhabi ended up finishing third and to go all the way this time, they have bolstered their squad by signing the tough duo of Australia’s Chris Lynn and West Indian Fabian Allen .

England internationals Phil Salter and Jamie Overton and Afghan ace Naveen Ulhaq have all been retained.

Abu Dhabi’s think tank will complete the squad in the official player draft on Monday, September 26, and Fabrese has set his sights on leading the tournament’s hosts to their first title.

“I’m eager to win it,” Fabrese said. “I want to win, I like to win, I hate to lose. And I think we have a group of people who share that sentiment.”

He added: “Chris Lynn is a superstar, as far as the shorter format is concerned. I’m very excited for him, he’s a bowler-buster. He’s going to be our real leader. He’s A guy who knows his game, he’s very experienced and knows exactly how he wants to play the game. All I would say to him is, “Dude, go entertain us. Let’s see how you play this game! “

“I’m also happy that we managed to keep Phil Salter, Jamie Overton and Naveen-Ul-Hack because they are all quality, great cricketers. They have a way of winning The mentality, the expectation of winning is important “From day one we talk to all the players. If you’re going to win a game like this, you need high expectations, so I’m really excited. “
