ABU DHABI, 23rd September, 2022 (WAM) — Abu Dhabi’s exhibitions, conferences and events sector is witnessing a strong recovery, surpassing pre-COVID-19 pandemic levels.
ADNEC Group has attracted an outstanding array of major global events, 12 of which are being held for the first time in Abu Dhabi and the Middle East, accounting for approximately 57% of all events held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre in the past four months in 2022.
The number of exhibitions organized and held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre by the end of 2022 will increase by 16% compared to the same period in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the global exhibitions and events industry. The event exhibition area will also increase by 11% in the final quarter of 2022 compared to the same period in 2019.
The rise in demand from event organizers around the world coincides with the opening of the largest showroom in the Middle East and North Africa. The new pavilion will be built in the arena area opposite the center, covering an area of ​​10,000 square meters. It will be officially inaugurated in October, and the ADNEC group will develop the pavilion to increase its competitiveness, capacity and to host a wide range of events simultaneously.

The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) is the largest annual event in the Middle East and Africa dedicated to the promotion and preservation of hunting, equestrian and cultural heritage, and will run from 26 September to 2 October.
The largest exhibition of modified cars and bicycles in the Middle East – Auto Show will take place from 7-9 October 2022. The event, held for the first time in Abu Dhabi, will host the world’s largest companies of leading manufacturers of automotive parts and accessories.
It will be followed by the International Exhibition on National Security and Resilience (ISNR) from 10-12 October 2022. It will provide a unique web platform connecting regional government agencies with security solution providers from around the world. The 48th Annual ISPAD Conference will be held October 13-16, 2022.
