Landmark deal with Wave Sports + Entertainment for digital media expansion, including launch of franchise on TikTok

New York and Los Angeles –() — Hispanic mixed martial arts (MMA) sports franchise global battle due to the Wave Sports + Recreation, the next generation of sports story leaders. In addition to building and managing the Combate Global brand on TikTok, the landmark deal also calls for WSE to take over the management of the franchise’s Snapchat Discovery show. Combate Global will also join WSE’s impressive roster of MMA and combat sports partners, with HAYMAKERS, WSE’s industry-leading media brand, hailed as the best combat sports brand on the Internet. Combate Global content will also be distributed across WSE’s network of sports and entertainment media brands, which have more than 115 million followers worldwide.

The move comes as Combate Global, which has the youngest U.S. TV audience of any MMA sports franchise, is developing its marketing strategy to reach more of these young MMA fans digitally. These fans have largely contributed to the sport’s remarkable growth in recent years, helping MMA become the eighth most popular sport in the world. Nielsen Fan Insights 2020.

To build its presence among young fans, Combate Global turned to WSE, a leader in the production and distribution of sports and entertainment content on digital platforms. WSE leads the industry in both social media influence and engagement with the Gen Z and Millennial demographics, who make up more than 85% of the WSE audience.
