Queen Elizabeth II has tried to encourage Meghan Markle to talk to her father, author Katie Nicole has revealed in her new book, New Royals: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the Crown.

Katie Nicole said: “The Queen could see how toxic the relationship between Meghan and her father was and she did talk to Meghan about it and tried to encourage her to talk to Thomas.”
“The Queen felt that Thomas Markle handled the whole thing very badly and it would have been better if it had been done differently,” she added.
Meghan MarkleHer father, Thomas Markle, who did not attend her wedding to Prince Harry, said he suffered a heart attack a few days before the wedding.
The new book also claims Meghan Markle wanted to live in lavish Windsor Castle after marrying Prince Harry, but the couple got Frogmore Cottage instead Elizabeth II.
