The resolution to reappoint its managing director Punit Goenka was also passed by a required majority at the 40th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. ZEEL also received approval from a special resolution to reappoint R Gopalan as the company’s independent director, a regulatory filing said.
Maruti Suzuki: Maruti Suzuki India, the country’s largest automaker, reported on Saturday that its total wholesale volumes tripled to 1,76,306 units in September. Due to a severe shortage of electronic components, the company successfully shipped 86,380 units in September 2021. The company’s domestic sales more than tripled to 1,54,903 units last month compared to 68,815 units in September 2021, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a statement.
Coal India: Continuing double-digit production growth from FY23, Coal India Limited (CIL) ended the first half of the financial year with 299 million tonnes (MTs). Supply to power plants rose sharply to 285.5 metric tons in 1H FY23, driven by increased production and increased load. CIL achieved nearly 43% of its fiscal production target of 700 tonnes in six months, and aims to complete the remainder in the second half of the year. Traditionally, CIL’s fiscal output yield in the second half of the year is much higher than that in the first half.

Hero MotoCorp said in a statement that the company sold 5,30,346 units in the same month last year. The company said domestic sales were 5,07,690 units last month, up from 5,05,462 units in September 2021. However, exports of 12,290 were down from 24,884 a year earlier.
