Wireless, the UK’s leading music festival, will expand to Abu Dhabi in 2023.
Specialising in hip hop, grime, Afrobeats and electronic music, the event will debut in the UAE capital on March 4 next year.
Launched in 2005, the latest issue of Wireless took place in July at three locations – London’s Crystal Palace Park and Finsbury Park, and Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre – headlined by A$AP Rocky, J. Cole, Tyler , the Creator, Dave, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj and SZA.

“With more than 200 nationalities in the UAE, it’s important that we keep track of changing music tastes that reflect such a diverse population,” said James Craven, president of Live Nation MENA. “Hip-hop remains one of the most popular music genres in the entire region, Launching next March in Abu Dhabi, the Wireless Music Festival will be a huge draw for urban music lovers across the region. The festival will showcase some of the biggest international hip-hop stars, but will also provide a platform for local artists.”
Wireless promoter Live Nation also revealed details of its first live music festival in Abu Dhabi, Amplified Music Festival, which will take place at Yas Links, Yas Island, from November 11 to 13, Headlines include OneRepublic, the Department of Acoustics and Cigarettes After Sex.
A one-day pass costs AED 149 (€41) and a three-day Golden Circle pass costs AED 499 (€138).
Additionally, Abu Dhabi Winter 2022/23 includes performances by artists such as Sting, Andrea Bocelli and AR Rahman, as well as the Club Social Festival from 28-30 October, featuring Liam Gallagher, Kaiser Chiefs and Clean Bandit.
