ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance and Taxation Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Tuesday stressed the current government’s focus on various avenues of mutual interest with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), saying the two countries’ existing bilateral relations could be expanded to a new level.
He was speaking with the UAE Ambassador to the Ministry of Finance, Hamad Obeid Ibrahim Salim Al Zabi, who visited him and exchanged views on strengthening and strengthening bilateral economic relations between the two countries.
The Minister of Finance reminded the Special Envoy that cooperation between the two countries has flourished since the establishment of relations between the two capitals, with longstanding bilateral ties in many areas.
He thanked the UAE leaders and their people for their generous assistance to the victims of the devastating floods in Pakistan. Meanwhile, Ambassador Hamad Obeid Ibrahim Salim Al Zabi congratulated Ishak Dal on his appointment as Finance Minister and expressed Abu Dhabi Investment Authority’s strong interest in investing in Pakistan.
The UAE envoy also expressed hope that Senator Dar will live up to the expectations of the people. The Finance Minister welcomed the new investment in Pakistan and assured the UAE Ambassador of his government’s full support and cooperation.
