CAIRO – During an official visit to Egypt, Major General Dr. Mubarak Saeed bin Ghavan Al Jabri, Assistant Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Defence for Support and Defence Industry, met with Kamel, Director of the Egyptian Armament Agency Major General Wafa Radwan Egyptian Ministry of Defense.
The two sides discussed new opportunities to strengthen the overall relationship between the UAE and Egypt, especially in the defence industry and promoting partnerships between UAE and Egyptian defence companies.
The two sides then emphasized their willingness to exchange relevant expertise, and exchanged views on mutual cooperation in the defense industry, as well as resolutions, legislation and mechanisms to promote business and integration of R&D between defense industry enterprises of the two countries.
Major General Jabri also met with the head of the Arab Industrial Organization, Major General Mohtar Abdul Latif, and invited him to participate in the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) 2023 and 2023 in Abu Dhabi Naval Defense Exhibition and Conference (NAVDEX).
The UAE delegation visited the organization’s exhibition and was briefed on Egypt’s plans to encourage local industrialization, utilize Egyptian technology and promote the “Made in Egypt” concept.
The meeting also discussed the future of the defense industries of the two countries, especially in terms of entrepreneurship, advanced technology, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, cultivating civic cadres, strategic partnerships with major international producers, and support for research and development.
Major General Jabri praised His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi for their vision and their commitment to developing the country’s defense industry and realizing the economy Diversity efforts are supported.
