Etisalat UAE from e& supports edge cloud solutions with uCPE services powered by ADVA and NEC: Press release

October 6, 2022 – ADVA (FSE: ADV) and NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701) today announced that Emirates Telecom, the telecommunications backbone of e& (formerly Etisalat Group), is using ADVA’s Ensemble NFV technology suite to provide on-demand virtual services to its enterprise customers, with solutions integrated by NEC with Etisalat in the United Arab Emirates is working closely with the latter, which is adding various networking capabilities to the platform. The new Universal Customer Premises Equipment (uCPE) offering enables businesses across the Middle East to quickly and securely access the industry’s broadest range of multi-vendor virtualization technologies. This unique multi-vendor environment offers unparalleled virtual product variety and choice. Etisalat UAE’s new solution uses the Ensemble connector as the NFVI platform. This provides the embedded vRouter functionality of Turbo routers using 6WIND. Other key components include Ensemble Orchestrator and Virtualization Director, which provide a simple and effective management and orchestration (MANO) architecture. ADVA’s virtual edge cloud technology simplifies Etisalat’s customer deployment, improves operational simplicity and enables Etisalat to roll out secure virtualized services at scale.
