Colin Farrell hopes to continue his “The Banshees of Inisherin” with Brendan Gleeson and Martin McDonagh.
Both starred in the latter’s latest black comedy and his 2008 killer comedy “In Bruges”.
All three are keen to make movies together.
Colin, 46, told Empire magazine: “Gosh, I’d love to do it again with these two boys.”
The 52-year-old director and screenwriter agreed: “We’re going to have to do it again.”
Colin then quipped: “14 years later?”
Brendan, 67, joked that he wished he was alive by then, but admitted that with the power of filmmaking and Martin’s writing skills, he could still do it.
“I just wish I was on the ground then. But knowing Martin’s work, it’s not really necessary,” he said.
Colin recalls how much younger they looked in ‘Bruges’.
Turning to Brendan, he said, “You’re almost younger than I am! Fucking weird. Crazy.”
The new film centers on a conflict between two friends. And Brendan recently described the film as an exploration of male relationships, a theme he found particularly “to the point.”
He said: “In a moment of reconsidering everyone’s relationship with everyone, I’m glad to see that there is value in male friendships.
“For me, the value of male friendship and brotherhood is very deep and relevant.”
