Middle East Film and Comic ConThe region’s largest pop culture festival has confirmed its next Abu Dhabi outing will take place from March 3-5 next year.
This event will be hosted by Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre This is the second time it has moved from its home in the Dubai World Trade Centre.

A celebration of pop culture and frenzy, the event brings fans and stars together for a fun-filled weekend of workshops, talks, meetups, concerts, competitions and more.
MEFCC 2022 marks the event’s 10th anniversary with a special appearance by Charlie Cox, best known for playing the role of Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil; Barry Keohan, formerly in Dunkirk and Batman; Ming-Na Wen (The Mandalorian); Natalie Emanuel (game of Thrones); Charles Martinet (voice of Super Mario) and others.
One of the highlights of the show is the annual cosplay contest, where fans dress up as their favorite characters and compete to see who is best dressed. Last year, the AED25,000 ($6,807) prize pool was up for grabs in three different categories, including Best Craft, Best Stage Show and Best Children’s Cosplay.

The main stage portion of the event also includes games and dance competitions, as well as live DJs and music.Emirati singer Accessibility An anime-themed concert was held while gamers competed for a Dh30,000 prize pool to play popular games such as Rocket League, Tekken 7 and Counter Strike Global Offensive.
Tens of thousands of fans flock to the capital from around the world for the event, and dealers also regularly display and sell merchandise ranging from retro game consoles to rare early comic book releases.
Outdoor areas also often feature plenty of food trucks, as well as a children’s play area for younger guests.
